Rudy Mathew Malayil, M.D., received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, one of the top medical schools in India. He then completed his internship in General Surgery at New York Presbyterian/Cornell Hospital in New York City, followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University Medical School. Dr. Malayil further completed a Pain Medicine Fellowship at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine at the Beth Israel Medical Center Campus in New York City.
Dr. Malayil is a member of the North American Neuromodulation Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Malayil is also the President for the West Virginia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and is a member of the West Virginia Medical Cannabis Advisory Board. After fellowship he went to work in private practice in Maryland before practicing in the Huntington, West Virginia area since January of 2015.
Dr. Malayil believes in educating where he has held events to teach physicians about pain management. He was a past Clinical Instructor for NYU Medical center and currently holds a spot for Clinical Instructor with Marshall University Neuroscience Department.
Dr. Malayil has worked in research projects and has many publications in the field of Pain Management. He also works with multiple companies in teaching/training physicians in new treatments and proper techniques.
Dr. Malayil develops individualized treatment plans to help every patient achieve a better quality of life.
